Preparation for the Sacrament of Holy Communion

Children from our school receive the Sacrament of Holy Communion in our three parishes of Christ Church, St Ann's and St Chad's. Each parish has it's own celebration/s and arrangements. 

Though no one can replace the role of parents in preparing your child for this special moment, you are not alone in this task. We support the children here in school in preparing them to fully understand the Eucharist and what this Sacrament means. Following on from learning about the Eucharist in their school Religion lessons, we supplement this using the programme “Called to his Supper.”

We support our parishes and families by examining all aspects about going to Church, the order and structure of the Mass, the act of Eucharist and being invited to receive the Body and Blood of Christ.
